Unless your truck has rack and pinion, and you%26#039;re talking about the inner tie rod.|||Wow, I didn%26#039;t even realize that had finally posted. I gave up after trying about 6 times, and sent the e-mail. What kind of truck is it anyway?

|||1. jack up and secure the front of the truck
2. remove the front tire
3. remove the castle nut on the %26quot;knuckle%26quot; of the joint.
4. Get a separator tool to separate the the joint from the steering knuckle(what the brakes and tire is mounted to).
5. Loosen the one clamping bolt on the threaded portion of the tie-rod on end.
6.Turn, usually counterclockwise, the tierod out of the or the adjusting sleeve. COUNT the number of turns and remember.
7. re-install the same way, make sure the castle nut is tight and use a new split pin. If you tighten the nut and the hole and the castles do not line up, tighten the nut until they do.
If you do not have a torque wrench, get one. get a manual too.
