Change the entire steering rack if you plan to keep it. Cheaper and easier in the long run.

your going to need an %26quot;inner tie rod removal tool%26quot;. These can be rented at Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Car needs to be jacked up, outer tie rod needs to be removed from the steering knuckle, then the inner tie rod removed with the specialty tool. Best left to a professional, or someone who is good with cars.
Tie rod are not important! The only thing that will happen is that your steering wheel might go to the right or left! I have a Dodge Durango with bad lower ball joint tommorow I doing a trip to Colorado from South Carolina!
You need to take to shop. Safety first and this is a safety issue.
if you want to really do this job your self you,ll need to rent or buy an inner tie rod remover to do this with, and really you,d be a lot better off letting a shop do it that has the right tools to do it with ,and they can also realign the front end back up on it,and that will have to be did once the tie rod end has been replaced, its harder to do than most people think it is,if you do attempt this at least get a repair manual on it so you,ll have something to work with, good luck.
