When changing a rack pinion what else should i replaced beside the rack pinion? Like tie rod yes or no? Or the power steering hose ?|||Just check the bushings for wear by twisting the tie rod. If they%26#039;re loose, change them. Check hose for cracks before spending the additional money.|||If you are getting a used rack-n-pinion check the cv axles and ask how many miles where on car prior to removal of rack-n- pinion.|||If you purchase a %26quot;Long Rack%26quot; the inner tie rod ends are supplied with it. Check the outers for looseness and damaged grease boots before installing them on the replacement rack. If the mounting bushings don%26#039;t come with the replacement rack you should replace them too.





Replace any damaged or leaking hoses when replacing the rack also.
