86 pontiac, what would cause vibration over 65 & upon de-acceleration therefrom?

I've already changed the u-joints, already had front-end work - 2 new tires, 2 new tie rod ends, new ball joints, new brakes %26amp; rotors, 4 new tires %26amp; both a-frame bushings replaced as well. Vibration has lessened, but its still there between 65 %26amp; 75. Below that its smoothe, above 75 its smoothe as well.

Did this start after you bought the first two tires? If it did, one of the first tires could be out of round. Otherwise, it sounds like you've done just about everything. Is the car an automatic or a manual.

When you're doing 65 - 70 can you use another gear to stay at this speed. If it stays the same at a higher RPM while at 65-70, then its a problem with suspension, if it goes away then you're probably looking at either an engine, transmission or u-joint problem.

I once had a problem with new u-joints. The ones that I had replaced by a local shop still had a little vibration. I took them apart myself and reinstalled them and everything was fine.

One more idea is the output bearing of the transmission. Another suggestion is to put the car in neutral or park and run the RPM's up to the range of the vibration to see if the vibration could be in the engine.
