What does your car do when the tie rods are loose?

I have a 2000 Chrysler 300m, and i got all of my tires changed yesterday and the guy at discount said that it looked like my right front tie rod was loose. What will this cause my car to do? It has been driving fine. But there is this loud sound not really screeching but it's like a loud humming. What should I be worried about...other than my ear drums?
What does your car do when the tie rods are loose?
loose tie rods your car will wander all over the road and wear the tires out. tie rods don,t hum. matter of fact they don,t make any noise at all but if 1 drops off your car will go where ever it want to and that could be over a hillside and hurt you bad or kill you. that humming noise could be the power steering pump dry on fluid. that kinda scares me by you saying the tie rods are bad. you better get the whole front end checked out. you need that safety in any car.
What does your car do when the tie rods are loose?
Tie rods are what keep the steering front wheels in alignment, so you will not be able to steer a straight line. if it / they fail the car will go where ever it wants to regardless of what you do with the steering wheel. Your are an accident waiting to happen as is said. so do not delay in getting this fixed ASAP. It's seriously dangerous.
get it fixed NOW....tie rod coming loose will cause u to wreck and most likely rollover if u are going faster than about 25 ........
