I need to change the tie rods on my sebring is it hard and do i need special tools?

You would have to do a wheel alignment which requires special tools. Take it to a mechanic... You should be able to get estimates and shop around some for a job like that. Might be wise to have the rest of the suspension looked at by someone knowledgeable while installing the tie rods anyway...

You need a tie rod fork (or pickle fork) and a coupld of wrenches, it isnt too bad, but you have to get a front end alignment afterward.

If you don't know how to align a front end you are better off taking it to a front end alignment shop. But yes you do need a special tool, a tie rod end puller. But you can do it with out it. Make sure you mark the tie rod ends as to their placement or you will put the front end so bad out of line it will have to be towed. Use the marks on the old ends to mark the new 1's. But in the end you will still have to go to the alignment shop to get the front end set right or you will kill the tires fast.
