99 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.4L.. Can bad sway bar links cause sloppy handling? My car wanders all over the road.?

I have had the struts, mounts, springs, hub assembly and inner and outer tie rod ends changed on both sides of my car and have had several alignments, but the handling is still very sloppy. As soon as I let go of the steering wheel the car pulls very hard to the right and even wanders over the road on smooth dry pavement. The mechanic said the control arms, ball joints and all of their components are fine. I wonder if the sway bar links are bad. Any ideas?

Also, check your tire pressure. Keep in mind too that the road itself can play a role.

yea it could be the sway bars and also could be bad tires. Pontiac's usually dint handle good anyway tho. Hope i helped.
It's the steering itself. Nothing else.
Sure you must select you
Hi get the bushings for the sway bar. Then get the wheels aliened and ask for two more degrees toe in. That should do it.
Sounds like a bent frame..

Did you hit the curb or some other thing..??
paul is right, but i wouldnt go 2 degrees. it depends on the width of the tire, narrow tires, less toe in, wider tires, more toe in.thatll do wonders except for tire wear.
have the idler arm checked as this will allow front end wander,as well as the toe out settings.Toe in is measured in inches, not degrees.
